History of Meridian Therapies
Meriden therapies started off in ancient China, They used needles on acupuncture points located on
various points of the body.
1964: Dr. George Goodheart Applied Kinesiology substituted manual pressure for needles.
1980's: Dr. Roger Callahan developed Thought Field Therapy by using Applied Kinesiology and
studied the meridian system of acupuncture & combined tapping for emotional problems with
simultaneous focusing on the problem at hand.
1993: Gary Craig streamlined the process and cut down the number of tapping points to 13 and used
the affirmation to keep the client tuned into the problem.
