Depth Of Trance

There are many levels and depths of trance, but for simplicity, I will break it down into three
sections.

1. Light trance {hypnoidal trance}:
It is a naturally occurring state of trance and it is similar to day dreaming and about 90% of people
can reach this stage.
When this level of trance is induced in a session , they close their eyes, have REM, breath more
slowly & swallow more frequently.
Other examples of this level of trance are when someone drives are car form point A-B and when
they reach the destination you don't really remember the journey because you were on "autopilot".
Also you are in this stage of trance when you watch a movie and you think the time has gone very
quickly when you see the end credits come up on the screen.

2. Medium depth:
When a person is in medium depth of trance thing such as the following can happen. The clients
head drops down to their chest & their body sinks deeper into the chair, the clients jaw slackens and
their facial features flatten and relax and the skins can become pale or flushed.

3. Deep Trance {Somnambulism}
When a client is in a somnambulistic trance they client can have their eyes open and appear to be
fully awake, they can take a long time to answer questions due to time distortion but they can
respond very quickly to suggestions.
